PUPILS at Woodlands Middle School enjoyed a fantastic themed activity week last week. Year 4 visited the world - experiencing Greek dancing, language lessons, plenty of art and craft tasks, and ended up in Africa Alive, Kessingland on Friday. Year 5 took a trip back in time and dressed in traditional Tudor dress and their highlights were a visit from a falconry display and going to Kentwell Hall in Suffolk. Year 7's New Zealand week comprised of traditional poi dances for the girls and the boys doing the Haka, kuro and pou pou art work, maouri language and traditional classroom games. To take advantage of the weather an afternoon of New Zealand sports on the playing field was arranged. The week ended with 200 Year 6 and 7 pupils being rewarded for their excellent behaviour with a visit to Whittlingham Activity centre in Norwich, and trying out archery, climbing, windsurfing and kayaking. The pupils are now looking forward to their summer fair at the school on Friday, July 11 at 7pm.
