YEAR 3 pupils from Wroughton First School were evacuated to Bridewell Museum this week as part of their topic on the second world war. The children learned what it was like to live in Norfolk during the war, making junk jewellery out of wire and buttons as well as talking to the Home Guard soldier who explained his duties and showed them his uniform and rifle.

YEAR 3 pupils from Wroughton First School were evacuated to Bridewell Museum this week as part of their topic on the second world war. The children learned what it was like to live in Norfolk during the war, making junk jewellery out of wire and buttons as well as talking to the Home Guard soldier who explained his duties and showed them his uniform and rifle. However, the talk was interrupted by the sound of air raid sirens and the children and staff had to dived for cover! Luckily, it was a false alarm…
