Wroughton Infant School were delighted when they were contacted by Radio Broadland to take part in a Healthy Snacks workshop this week. Year 1 pupil, Lucy Hollyoak and her mum, had phoned the radio station to nominate the school and cook, Deana Chilvers.

Radio Broadland and Norfolk County Services worked with 25 pupils in the school hall. They cooked pasta and cous cous, adding healthy extras such as green peppers, dried apricots, pumpkin seeds and chopped tomatoes, and the children were all encouraged to taste the dishes.

“I phoned the radio because I really wanted them to come to my school,” said Lucy. “I liked tasting all the foods and my favourite was the pasta with tomato sauce.”
