THE secret of x-rays are being revealed at the James Paget University Hospital on Saturday.

An open day in the hospital's radiology department is providing an insight into how X-rays are used to diagnose injuries and disease.

Radiology manager Kol Kishan, said: “Many people do not know what a radiographer does.

“If you have an accident and go to hospital, the chances are that you will see a diagnostic radiographer. “They produce images that are used to diagnose injury or disease. There are also therapy radiographers who use targeted doses of radiation to treat cancer.

“We are holding this open day so that anyone can come along and ask questions.”

All are welcome to the open day from 10am to 2pm.
