NEARBY yachtsmen went to the aid of a vessel that ran aground on Scroby Sands yesterday.
The White Admiral, a 26ft yacht, suffered engine difficulties before running aground off the Yarmouth coast.
Yarmouth Coastguard was called before midday but did not need to take action as people on board yachts that were accompanying the vessel helped it off the sandbank and into the safety of the harbour at Lowestoft.
