THE Palace Casino, in Church Plain, Yarmouth, has agreed to the placing of a blue plaque to mark the site previously occupied by E Lacon and Co brewery.
A dedication ceremony, organised by Great Yarmouth Local History and Archaeological Society, will be carried out on August 19 by the former head brewer Michael Falcon.
The firm of Lacons had a long history in Yarmouth and sold its beers throughout East Anglia, with as many as 50 pubs in London.
The last brewing of beer on the site took place on February 28, 1968.
