Yarmouth College students appear in new cinema advert
STUDENTS at Great Yarmouth College will have a taste of stardom when they appear on the big screen in a new cinema advert they have made to promote their college.
The advert - showing at Yarmouth’s Hollywood Cinema until September - was designed, filmed and edited by media students and stars students from across the subject areas.
Media students were set the challenge to come up with a concept to capture the essence of what their college is all about for the 30-second advert.
Its message was to show how a college qualification leads to a job.
Foundation degree student Chris Burnham came up with the idea of filming students from different courses looking in the mirror and changing from a student into their chosen career – a plumber, filmmaker, motor mechanic, chef and beauty therapist.
The last shot is a group of students from across college with the message: “Made by students for students.”
The advert will be screened at the Hollywood until July 28 and between August 19 and September 15.
