While being interviewed on camera he responded to questions spanning education policy to Brexit, and encouraged students to get into politics themselves.

Taylor Ball said: “It was really interesting to hear Mr Webb share his own experiences with the Youth Parliament, and learn about how it is a really great way for young people to get into politics.

“It was also fascinating to gain an insight into some of Mr Webb’s political ideas, and the changes to Great Yarmouth that he is hoping to make.”

Mr Webb said: “It was the most inspiring event of the whole campaign. It was great to meet so many young people really showing an interest in politics.

“I will be looking to work with the school in future regardless of the result on Thursday.”
