VAUXHALL Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth has been awarded Best in East of England award in the Fun and Laughter, Lively and Leisurely category at the annual Hoseasons gala awards dinner.

The award ceremony took place at Finlake in Chudleigh, Devon and recognised the achievements of the 440 + Hoseasons holiday parks and lodges locations in the UK; showcasing those businesses which performed outstandingly well throughout 2009.

2009 was undoubtedly a successful year for UK holidays in general, and for Hoseasons in particular - the company's bookings for 2010 are already up by over 41%. Despite the economic downturn, UK holidays have bucked this trend and the conference offers the opportunity for park owners to share their success stories ahead of the 2010 season.

Roger Finney, Marketing Manager at Vauxhall Holiday Park comments on winning the Best in East of England award in the Fun and Laughter, Lively and Leisurely category said: “We are thrilled to have won the Best in East of England award. Everyone at Vauxhall Holiday Park has worked really hard over the past 12 months so this is going to be a great reward for our efforts. This award is particularly special as it's the guests who vote for us, and we have beaten off some very strong competition.”

“Hoseasons is the leading self catering holiday company in the UK, so winning the Best in East of England award in the Fun and Laughter, Lively and Leisurely category means Vauxhall Holiday Park is one of the UK's top holiday destinations,” said Richard Carrick, Chief Executive of Hoseasons. “2009 was an unprecedented chance to showcase the UK as a holiday destination and it is clear that Vauxhall Holiday Park grasped this opportunity to ensure that the new customers won this year will be retained in future.”

“2010, will see more and more people look closer to home for holidays as a result of the exchange rates, airline fuel surcharges and general economic uncertainty. We are confident at Hoseasons, that people will enjoy both the range of holidays, and the quality of experiences we have to offer for their next holiday.”

The awards, which were broken down into region and type of park experience, were presented to the owners who had independently achieved the highest scores in the Hoseasons customer care surveys. In total there were 19 winners and 33 runners up from across the UK.
