GREAT Yarmouth has been included in a series of special trails set up across Norfolk for budding detectives, treasure hunters and super sleuths.

Dave Senior, from Dereham, has been researching routes from Yarmouth to King's Lynn and Wells to Wymondham for the past few months.

Each route has been designed as either a murder mystery, treasure hunt or spy trail.

The idea behind them is to encourage visitors and locals of all ages to explore the county and learn snippets of local information from the questions they must answer to get to the end of each trail and complete their mission.

“I want to get people out exploring areas they may have lived in for years and learning things they may never have found out otherwise,” said Mr Senior, 45.

He added: “It is about trying to showcase Norfolk in the best way we can and hopefully these trails will encourage people to look a little bit deeper into Norfolk rather than just the main tourist spots.”

Mr Senior set up the Norfolk branch of Treasure Trails in March after spending 24 years in the RAF and his trails will be available to the public from Friday.
