POLICE were forced to re-issue an appeal for a missing man this morning after they wrongly said he had been found.The whereabouts of Derrick McHugh is still unknown after he was last seen leaving a bed and breakfast accommodation in Great Yarmouth on February 27.

POLICE were forced to re-issue an appeal for a missing man this morning after they wrongly said he had been found.

The whereabouts of Derrick McHugh is still unknown after he was last seen leaving a bed and breakfast accommodation in Great Yarmouth on February 27.

On Monday police issued a statement that Mr McHugh, who is in his 40s, had been found safe and well.

However officers said today that he had not been found and re-issued their original missing persons appeal.

Mr McHugh, who is originally from Bedfordshire, had been staying at Princes Road. He is 5ft 6in with a medium build with brown receding hair.

Police believe that when he disappeared on the morning of Friday, February 27 he had no money or possessions on him.
