A driver was caught speeding at 73mph on Great Yarmouth’s Golden Mile.
N&S Roads Policing tweeted that the driver had felt the force of the law on Sunday.
Police caught the driver on the road - popular with so-called “boy-racers” particularly on a Sunday - which has a 30mph speed limit.
Sgt Chris Harris, tweeted in reply that he was “speechless”, adding: “Can’t even start to think of the consequences if it had gone wrong.”
The motorist was caught on the eve of Brake charity’s Road Safety Week which runs from November 20 to 26.
The aim is to promote a raft of road safety messages with the 2017 campaign having a focus on speed described by the charity as “still a major problem and causing untold suffering.”
