Local groups of the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), including the Norwich and District group, held riding lessons involving young association members and volunteers. Among those taking part was Filby riding stables, near Yarmouth, which had around 60 people at the event on Wednesday.

County chairman Hilary Hodges said: “People have been taking part and doing it all over the county to celebrate 40 years of the RDA.”

Thousands of people across the country took part in the event, which is the launch of the RDA's birthday celebrations.
