TWO weekends of roadworks start this weekend on kerbing and carriageway resurfacing for the St George's Theatre regeneration project in Great Yarmouth.

The work will close roads in Yarmouth Way (from its junction with Alexandra Road), King Street (from adjacent to Christchurch to St George's Plain), Deneside (from St George's Plain to Christchurch) and Alexandra Road.

Diversions will be in operation via St Nicholas Road, Euston Road, Marine Parade, St Peter's Road, King Street, Nottingham Way and South

Quay.

During the works, there will be access to the parking in St George's Plain from the St Peter's Road direction only, although this may be limited during working hours.

Access to the northern sections of Deneside and King Street will be limited during the road closures, although road closure points will be manned so directions and guidance will be available.

Buses leaving Market Gates will be diverted via Regent Road, King Street, Regent Street and South Quay, while access to Market Gates car parks will be signed from Fullers Hill.

The first weekend closure runs from 7pm tonight until 6pm on Sunday, while the next weekend closure runs from

7.30am on March 6 until 6pm on March 7.
