Yarmouth war memorial start for RBL bikers charity ride
MONDAY will see a host of motorbikes taking part in a special run from the war memoriual in St George’s Park, Great Yarmouth to Sparrows nest in Lowestoft. The event is part of an attempt by members of the Royal British Legion Riders branch to run seven 12.8km runs over seven days (a total of 90kms) in different parts of the country - raising publicity and funds to mark the Legion’s 90th anniversary year.
The event begins on May 15, the date the Legion was officially formed in 1921.
The Yarmouth event starts at 10am, with the riders arriving at Sparrows nest at approximately 11.30am.
All donations will be added to the Legion’s annual Poppy Appeal.
