A GREAT Yarmouth woman who died when she was struck by a car being driven by her husband was named yesterday as investigations into the tragedy continued.
Sandra Roden, 64, from Yarmouth, died at the scene of the crash, in Godyll Road, Southwold, and her husband, who has not been named, remained in hospital yesterday.
Mrs Roden was hit by the black Chrysler PT cruiser car at about 11.30am on Wednesday and paramedics tried in vain to resuscitate her.
A police spokesman said: “Police are investigating exactly what happened, but at this stage it appears the vehicle collided with her as she stood nearby.
“She was knocked unconscious and died a short time later at the scene. A man remains in the James Paget University Hospital at Gorleston.”
The spokesman added that the man was being treated for shock.
