PEOPLE are doing something funny for money this week raising cash for Comic Relief. Madcap events have been taking place throughout the Great Yarmouth area for Red Nose Day.

The Hermitage Restaurant in Acle is having a swaparound night. Kitchen staff will be out front serving the customers, and the waiting staff will be cooking the meals, all closely supervised by chef proprietor, Chris in the kitchen and Michele out front.

Great Yarmouth Cycling Club are visiting Peterhouse Primary School in Gorleston for Comic Relief. One of the spinning bikes will be linked up to a smoothie machine to provide a refreshing drink for fund-raisers. Members of the public can go along to the school, on Peterhouse Avenue, between 11am and noon and 3pm to 4pm to help raise cash. Children are joining in the fun taking part in a non uniform day. Staff are taking part in a race and a quiz organised Year 6 pupils with the loser getting a custard pie in the face.

Schoolboy Klade Buller took a short cut to fund-raising with his effort for Comic Relief. The 11-year-old from Bradwell saw four years-worth of flowing locks fall to the floor when he has his locks chopped for loot. The Lynn Grove High School pupil raised �100 from stunt at a salon in Norwich.
