A TEENAGER charged with assault has been remanded in custody after breaking his bail conditions.
Police arrested Samuel Ransome, 19, of Appleton Drive, Ormesby, at his home yesterday for breaching his curfew.
Officers visiting earlier in the day were unable to contact him.
Ransome appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates Court today where he was put in custody until his next court appearance on Wednesday, June 9, to answer the assault charge.
The charge relates to an incident at the Kings Arms pub, Main Road, Fleggburgh, on Thursday, March 18.
Inspector Nathan Clark, who covers the Rural Flegg and Caister and Coastal Safer Neighbourhood Teams, said: “Breaches of bail conditions will not be tolerated and I would like to remind all defendants on bail to adhere to their conditions. Failure to do so will result in you being arrested and possibly remanded in custody as the defendant was in this case.”
