TWO youths aged 15 and 17 were arrested by police in Gorleston after they were caught stealing push bikes from a garden in Blackwall Reach in the town.
Officers caught up with the youths in nearby High Road and they were taken to Great Yarmouth police station where they were held overnight on Saturday .
The youths admitted taking the bikes during an interview yesterday and have been bailed for Youth Offending Team intervention.
Insp Paul McCarthy said: “This is another example of the positive action being taken by officers from Gorleston and the Safer Neighbourhood Teams.
“We continue to respond to information from the public and obviously work very closely with our partners in the Gorleston CCTV and shop exclusion schemes to combat crime.”
