TRAINING for Great Yarmouth Town footballers continues at the Wellesley Ground on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6.45pm. Joint manager Kevin Cruickshank said there was a welcome for all.
“Training is varied and fun, and anyone can come and have a look if they think they are up to the standard of the Ridgeons League or Anglian Combination Division Two.”
The first friendly is on Saturday, July 12 when Scottish Division One side Clyde visit the Wellesley. An extra pre-season match at reserve level has been fitted in - the annual Chalky Burrell Trophy match at Mattishall on Friday, August 15.
The Ridgeons League annual meeting elected Brantham Athletic to Division One and Wivenhoe Town to the Premier.
While the league fixtures are not expected until next month, the Ridgeons Cup draws were made and Great Yarmouth have been drawn at home to Debenham LC in the first round of the League Cup and away to Diss Town (joint manager Paul Tong's previous club) in the First Division
KO Cup.
