The latest Gorleston Cliffs parkrun attracted 293 runners and featured 23 first timers and 56 personal bests.
Way out in front was Marc Evans who ran a pb of 17.51.
Second and third places were more closely contested by Kieran Hagan and Darren Barnes, who ran 18.32 (pb) and 18.35 respectively.
Danielle Sullivan ran strongly to achieve a first finish in the women’s event in a new pb time of 20.49. A minute behind in second place was Penny Studley (21.49) with Jo Anverali slowly regaining her speed after her recent marathon to finish third in 22.37.
This week marked the anniversary of Wendy Johnstone collapsing during the parkrun after suffering a heart attack. It was the quick-thinking actions of fellow parkrunners, who provided CPR until the ambulance arrived, that enabled Wendy to make a full recovery. One year on, she has returned to running and competed in the Race for Life 10k in Norwich at the weekend.
