Oval Racing: On Sunday the national bangers produced some brilliant action at the Yarmouth Stadium where the main event for them was the figure of eight East Anglian Championship, writes Graham Utting.
The race was won by Hempnall’s Luke Parfitt who was under pressure from Tuddenham’s Daniel Rose during the last few laps.
Lee Clarke (Woodton) and Rose won the following two races and it was these two that ended the night as the last cars running in the destruction derby with Clarke finally finishing off Rose to win the event.
There is more banger racing on Sunday at 5.30pm with more figure of eight racing plus plenty of action from both the 1300cc stock cars.
There, newly-crowned English champion – Ipswich’s Jason Scopes – is among the entry.
Also featured are the classic stock cars which have been very good so far during 2011, and the Mascars which are miniature American Nascar look-a likes.
It will be another very busy night at the Caister Road Raceway.
