On a damp wicket Winterton were soon in trouble. Josh Austin (24) and Ben Webb (35) were the main contributors in a crawl to 145-9. Fred Playford making his debut batted patiently and with maturity in difficult conditions and was superb in the field.
Skipper Kevin Percival took 3-16 and with nine overs left Hardingham required 46 with six wickets in hand. Rain made for a slippery outfield and wicket and some lusty blows from A Duckham (29) saw Hardingham home.
