Yarmouth Swimming Club held its annual gala, and the Mayor Tony Smith and the Mayoress Sara Smith attended to present the Ulph Cup. This is an event of a 1000m freestyle and is open to swimmers from other clubs.
Yarmouth Swimming Club held its annual gala, and the Mayor Tony Smith and the Mayoress Sara Smith attended to present the Ulph Cup.
This is an event of a 1000m freestyle and is open to swimmers from other clubs. It was first swam in 1887 and was won by Joseph Nuttall of Spalybridge Amateurs.
This year it was won by Callum McColgan of Lowestoft and Oulton Broad who took an early lead and maintained that position throughout the race. Second was Ben Johnson UEA City of Norwich, and third Allan McRoberts Norwich Swan.
