Lowestoft & Yarmouth RFC's dream of reaching Twickenham ended in dramatic fashion in Cornwall on Saturday afternoon.
The Blue and Whites lost their EDF Energy Junior Vase semi-final 26-19 away at Cornish side Liskeard-Looe in the cruellest way after a last-minute try by the home side.
The visitors led 11-7 at the break and extended their lead to 19-7 in the opening minutes of the second-half.
But the Cornish outfit came back in the last quarter and L&Y had two men sin-binned as Liskeard-Looe scored a penalty try and then a pushover try to bring the scores level.
With L&Y defending manfully on their own line, the home team broke through the defensive ranks of the visitors to score a converted try with the last play of the game and end a second-half which lasted 57 minutes.
