Diss will make every effort – and most likely a last minute decision – as they try to ensure their highly anticipated Norfolk derby clash with North Walsham beats the weather.
With the National League having told all clubs to hold off postponing games until the morning of the match – and with little more than an hour's drive between the two clubs – the final decision may be made not long before Saturday's kick-off, scheduled for 2.15pm.
Diss director of rugby, Dave Hall, believed it would take a deterioration from Friday's icy conditions for the game to be called off.
'We shall make every effort to get the game on if at all possible,' he added.
Norwich are likely to take a similar approach with the London League 3NE visit of Lowestoft and Yarmouth to Beeston Hyrne, also on Saturday (2pm).
