Gorleston FC moved eight points clear of the bottom four places on Tuesday night after coming from behind to beat Witham 4-1 at home to extend their winning run to five games

Witham took the lead midway through the first half when a player fell as he went past Henry Pollock in the penalty area and the referee decided it was a penalty. Adam Vyse made no mistake from the spot.

From a corner in time added on Zielonka's inswinger was met powerfully by the forehead of Gilfedder for the equaliser.

Gorleston finally got their noses in front with 18 minutes to go.

Connor Ingram collected the ball deep inside opposition territory and laid it wide to Kyle Ingram. Kyle crossed the ball back into the area where Connor was waiting to swivel and volley the ball into the goal.

The third goal saw Deeks float the ball over towards the back post where Dominic Docherty arrived to turn it into the net.

The fourth goal saw Zielonka's low drive into the box blocked by the keeper but Connor Ingram followed up to stick the ball into the net.

Last Saturday saw the Greens win 3-1 at home to Heybridge Swifts.

Gorleston took the lead in the 12th minute.

Deeks' through ball sent Connor Ingram in behind the defence. As the keeper narrowed the angle, Ingram shot across him and in at the far post.

In the 34th minute they doubled their lead from another Zielonka corner. The corner curled towards goal and was helped into the net via the keeper.

Heybridge pulled a goal back in the 65th minute.

Eight minutes to go and Deeks won the ball close to the touchline, midway inside his own half. He sent Gilfedder through the middle, who drilled a shot into the net from just inside the box.

On Saturday, Gorleston travel to Basildon Utd.
