Gorleston FC ended their league season last Saturday with a 1-0 win at Tilbury.

That goal, coupled with results elsewhere, meant Tilbury were relegated and it meant Gorleston finished in a respectable 13th place in their first season at this level.

The goal came with nine minutes remaining.

Stewart was sent away on the left and his low cross found Connor Ingram in the six yard box for a simple tap in.

The Greens had spent 24 weeks of the season in the bottom four.

Gorleston's first team still have one game to go, the Norfolk Senior Cup Final against Dereham at Carrow Road on May 18.

Tickets are now on sale and are available from norfolkfa.com. Supporters are reminded to make sure they book tickets for the right fans section at Carrow Road.

With two games left to play, Gorleston Reserves are second in the Anglian Combination Division One which could be good enough for promotion.

The Reserves will need to win both their remaining games to finish second, beginning Saturday at the FDC Flegg where the Greens host Thetford Rovers, kick off 2.30pm.

Then, on Tuesday night, their final game of the season is away at Norwich Utd U21, kick off at Plantation Park is 7.30pm.

Manager Ryan Gowing and the players would appreciate all support at these two matches.

The Under 18s finished their season last week with two games. Firstly, they beat Waveney 3-1 with two goals from Samir Lamarti and one from Bernardo Carneiro.

Then they travelled to Wroxham but lost 2-0.

The win gave Wroxham the league title for the second season running. Afterwards, Gorleston Under 18s gaffer, Andrew Lawn, stepped down and the club thanked him for his services this season.
