The 2-5 odds-on favourite took the Manny Bernstein 'pays Double Result' Handicap with aplomb for jockey Chris Catlin and trainer Sir Mark Prescott.

Earlier there was a 50-1 upset which had the bookmakers celebrating. A horse called Brushing which had finished 14th of 16 runners on its only previous run last September - also at Great Yarmouth - took charge of the Manny Bernstein Hedging Service Maiden Fillies' Stakes to create the sensational result.

Apprentice jockey Ashley Morgan, who was in the saddle on Brushing, then rode Astrodonna (5-1) to victory in the Manny Bernstein 'gives Guaranteed Odds' Handicap.

Popular local trainer Christine Dunnett sent out Registrar to win the Manny Bernstein Early Price Service Handicap at 10-1.

The opening Manny Bernstein Freephone 0800 821 821 Selling Stakes went to 14-1 chance Prince Fortune under jockey Tom McLaughlin who went on to complete a personal double on Ibmab (11-2) in the Manny Bernstein Credit Betting Claiming Stakes.

The closing Manny Bernstein Independent Bookmakers Handicap went to Mykingdomforahorse (9-4), a second winner for rider Chris Catlin.

The next racing at Great Yarmouth Racecourse is on Monday evening 17 August when tribute act So Blondie are performing after the last horse race.
