IT'S a feat many golfers never achieve, but Tommy Hunt has hit his first hole in one, aged just 15.
Tommy's name has been added to the select list of players to have scored a hole in one at Gorleston Golf Club. The nine handicapper used a three wood to ace the 280-yard first hole.
The only problem was buying a celebratory round at the clubhouse for the rookie, who is too young to drink. Cliff Park High School student Tommy was playing in a pairs' event with friend Josh Manser when he hit the hole in one earlier this month. “It felt like I had played a good shot and I was looking around for the ball before I realised it had gone in the hole,” said Tommy.“I was over the moon, this might be a once-in-a-lifetime achievement, but hopefully it is something I will do again.”
The teenager joined the club five years ago where he played regularly with his late father Richard. A tournament is being held in memory of Richard, a popular and long-standing club member, in August.
