John Colcombe, Bernard Willimott, Denis Goodley and Tim Stone were 3-10 down after seven ends, but they won the following six ends to go 15-10 up. By 17 ends it was 16-15, and they won the remaining ends to finish 23-15.

Rob Fulcher, Daniel Noble, George Tubby and Lewis Moore scored a five on the eighth end to put them 10-7 up, and after 12 ends it was 11 each, and 16-15 with two ends to play. They won both to finish 18-5. John Marshall, Paul Webb, Simon Elliott and Patrick Willimott were 6-4 up at six ends, but after they dropped a six on the ninth end they were 6-14 down. But they bowled well and went into the final end at 18 each, scoring two shots to win 20-18. Tony Dunton's rink were six each at nine ends, 11 each at 15, dropped a five on the 18th and lost 12-23.

The Men's B team were at home to table-toppers Lakeside A, and were hoping for some Christmas cheer.

Johnstone Mackie, Sid Siely, Eric George and Bimbo Meeks were 13-3 up after eight ends, but were cut back to 17-13 after 15 ends and in a tense finish they won 21-18.

Ken Copeman's rink were 8-4 up after seven ends, dropped a six on the eighth, were 12 each at 12, scored a five on the 16th to go 18-17 up. They dropped a four on the 17th, and in a grandstand finish just lost out 21-23.

Eric Crouch's rink, after dropping a six on the ninth were 3-5 down, and 12-22 after 15, but despite winning 11 ends, lost 17-26.

Alan Rowsell's rink dropped a five on the ninth to go 7-11 down, scored a five on the 14th to go 12-18, dropped six on the 20th and lost 16-30. Result: 75-97 (1-6 points).

Browston Hall

THE Men's C team picked up six points in their away 80-67 win against Hunstanton B.

Top rink M King, K Bribes, R Hardy and K Saward in a one sided game won 32-7. C Posner, B Gooch, T Chilvers and R Matthews, evenly matched over the opening ends, went to the front 18-13 at the 19th end, then lost three shots over the closing ends, but won 18-16.

M Marshall, P Tyrell, I. Buck and S Hopwood a close game all through were 15-16 down at the 20th but two shots on the final end gave them the game 17-16. J Prest lost 13-23.

The men's A team at home to Roundwood A won 79-71 and gained five points. D Pratt 24-13, P Hurren 20-18, V Moore 19-21 and P Morris 16-19.

The ladies A team took only two points in their home game against league leaders Gallow A losing 46-51.

Janet Barber, Mary Barrett and Gill Bird were 13-1 up at the eighth end. Their opponents scored on a further three ends and the home side won 18-7.

June Butcher, Diane Purnell and Diane Burwood, although losing two shots on the last two ends, held on to win 13-10. Joan Stringfellow, in front for most of the game, lost 9-12. Ilene Hadden lost 6-22.
