Acle picked up a 25-run win at home to Norwich A but could not prevent Old Buckenham stretching their lead over them at the top of Norfolk Alliance Division One to 16 points.

Peter Nobbs hit 81no in Acle’s 167 for five and Shaun Roberts claimed five for 29 as Norwich A were bowled out for 142.

In Division Five, Winterton moved up to second with a five-wicket win at Aldborough.

Peter Watson made 58 for the host team, who were resricted to 173 for eight as Richard Larner claimed four for 19. Josh Austin made 59 as Winterton replied with 175 for five.

Halvergate (129 for eight) lost at home to Swardeston-CEYMS (131 for five).

In Norfolk League Division One, leaders Rollesby saw their match at Ketteringham Hall rained off.

Great Yarmouth (124) lost their top-four clash to visitors East Harling (126 for four while Caister (106) lost at second-placed Old Catton (108 for two).

In Division Two, Belton’s match was lost to the rain while in Division Three, Great Yarmouth a were dismissed for just 33 at Costessey, who won by 10 wickets. Section leaders Martham (319 for six) had a big win over visitors Kirkley & Lowestoft Railway (143).

In Division Four, Winterton A (160) lost to Hemsby (161 for four) in a match likely to have decided who gets promoted and who stays down. The win saw Hemsby complete the league double over their near neighbours.

In Division Five, second-placed Blundeston made 112 for seven to visitors Sprowston C’s 110. Halvergate A (196) lost at Rocklands A (246 for four).

In Division Six, Rollesby A (138) lost at home to Great Melton C (192 for eight) and in Division Seven, Acle A were rained off. Blundeston A suffered the same fate in Division Eight.
