At home to Shotford, Acle Ladies A team were hoping to conclude the season with a win to stand a chance of finishing in the runners-up slot.
Joy Pearson, Edna Land and Mel Haylett won 32-1. Jenny Ramsbottom, Gywn Xuereb and Elaine Cole won 27-3. Shirley Lettice, Lillian Barber and Jenny Kirby won 21-3 and captain Geraldine Reeve’s block found the opposing skip in devastating form as she lost 6-17. Result 86-24 and 7-1 points.
At home to Great Yarmouth A the Mens C saw Mick Crow, David Airey, Ken Scott Greenard and Alan Kendall romp home 34-12. Gordon Ives, David Crosby, Colin Minns and Alan Jones won 30-13. Richard Hayton, Derrick Willgress, Brian Hearn and Mick Askham won 23-17 and Richard Pope, Barry McGrath, Peter Evans and John Lettice won 25-21 for 112-63 and all seven points.
With two games to play, one point up and a +80 shot advantage, it’s going to the wire.
