Acle United Reserves welcomed Poringland Wanderers looking to extend the gap between themselves and the teams at the foot of the table, but suffered a 4-0 defeat.
Acle, who had a much changed side put the visitors on the back foot in the early exchanges.
But they then failed to react to a short corner and the visiting striker sent a well placed shot past Cannon. Five minutes later, a straight ball played from the back over the home defence allowed the striker to go past the backline, beat Cannon, and tuck away the chance.
The home side dropped their heads a little and Poringland scored again.
Acle’s second half performance was an improvement but despite the best efforts of Saka, Robinson and others the hosts had the final say with five minutes remaining.
The Reserves entertain Yelverton on Saturday (4pm) and visit Martham on Wednesday (6.30pm).
