Acle's Tony Ward was jubilant after his side had destroyed Sprowston Athletic to strengthen their position among the Anglian Combination Premier Division leaders.

The visitors were swept away as Ian Morgan scored twice and Holdsworth, James Foreman and Fruin weighed in with one apiece, which left the visitors rooted to the basement.

Acle wasted two good opportunities before Ian Morgan forced the ball home from close range. From a corner on 25 minutes Daniel Foreman brilliantly picked out Louis Holdsworth, who headed in

Acle's second.

The stunning performance continued in the second period. Ian Morgan collected the ball on the halfway line and sped past four defenders before crashing home his second goal.

Acle were awarded a penalty when a Sprowston defender handled, saving a certain goal, which meant his dismissal. James Foreman clinically put away the spot-kick. With time running out, Acle went nap when Ritchie Fruin sent a curling effort into the net.

Tomorrow, Acle entertain Hempnall kick-off 2pm.
