On Sunday the Great Yarmouth and District Athletic Club held its annual club championships.

They take the form of a pentathlon taking in jumps, throws, sprinting and middle distance running to try and find the best all round athletes.

On a hot, sunny day the athletes had a chance to put in some good performances.

The under-13 girls’ event was a strongly-contested one but Amy Dowsett’s all-round ability saw her finish comfortably ahead after the five events with some very close competition for the minor places.
