The Angels were held 2-2 at home by Hempnall, who are fourth, 10 points adrift with five games in hand.

The Crabs won 2-0 at Watton with goals from James Pipe and Matt Ives as the 30-match season neared another thrilling climax.

Beccles Town in third, seven points fewer than Walsham with three games in hand, maintained the pressure with a 4-1 win (Jason Buckwood 2, Andy Woods, Alan Remblance) win over visitors Dersingham.

Blofield were held 2-2 at home by Acle, Neil Hurren and Greg Murphy bagging the home goals, Lewis Holsworth and Richard Fruin scoring for Acle. That leaves Acle fifth, 11 points behind the leaders with three games in hand, and Blofield sixth - 13 points off the pace but with five games in hand over North Walsham.

Mattishall maintained their form ahead of their Norfolk Senior Cup final with a 3-1 home win over bottom club Sprowston Athletic, skipper Jimmy Lovell making a return to action with a goal after dislocating his shoulder in the cup semi-final at Dereham. Jason Cole and Simon Wooden were the Blues' other marksmen, Jonathan Large replying for Athletic.

St Andrews had a 4-1 home win (Danny Pennell, Kyle Downes, Ben Welham and Charlie Bartram) over Brandon (John Waites).

At the top of Division One, Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves lead Norwich St Johns by one point but have played three games more.

K&P drew 2-2 at Bungay, Rory French and Lewis Hammond earning their point, Daniel Lowe and Ashley Ling on target for Bungay.

The Saints won 4-3 at home to fifth-placed Corton. Saints' strikers were Liam Blofeld, Graham Carr, Matthew Racher, supported by an own goal, while Corton replied through Richard Smith, Ryan Bloomfield and Arran Foreman.

Long Stratton, 1-0 winners at home to Stalham (Ben Cussons), are third, four points off the top team with two games in hand.

Hindringham's Karl Pask hit a hat-trick in their 6-2 home win over Scole, Darren West adding a brace and Jason Chilvers one as Simon Green and James Denny replied.

Holt won 5-1 at Sole Bay, Zak Julings replying to a Billy Edwards hat-trick and goals from Joshua Dixon and Matthew Sanders.

Poringland beat visitors Horsford 3-2, Sean Payne, Vaughan Stevenson and Alistair Shearer their scorers, Adam McPhee and Scott McKinney responding.

There were 4-1 away wins for Wymondham at Wells and Reepham at Caister. Scorers for Wymondham were Jamie Speller (2), James McCloy and Luke Rackham, Tom East netting for Wells.

Caister's goal came from Kevin Jarvis as Shaun Belton claimed a Robins' hat-trick and Kevin Winkworth also scored.
