Annual youth tournament proving a big draw for many clubs

Gorleston Rangers’ 29th annual youth football tournament, in association with Specsavers Great Yarmouth and the Great Yarmouth Mercury, will be held at Ormiston Venture Academy, Gorleston on Saturday and Sunday, July 15 and 16.

Saturday, sees Under 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 and under 12 girls action and Sunday the Under 6, 7, 9, 10, 13 and 15 games.

The Under 6-10s play five-a-side mini soccerUnder and 11-16s five-a-side with under head height restrictions.

With almost 100 teams already entered, early application is encouraged. There have been enquiries from Newcastle and Oxfordshire, as well as from Irchester, Kettering, Clacton, Colchester, Ipswich, King’s Lynn and Thetford.
