POOL: Week seven of 16 qualifying rounds Great Yarmouth Singles Pool Competition was held at Merlins on Sunday, the event sponsored by Evolved Media.
This week’s winner was Tom Burrell who beat Shaun Bullock in the final 6-1 to qualify for the grand final on Sunday, March 20, when the last 16 will be playing for the first prize of �1,000. The runner-up will receive �500, semi-finalists �150 each and the quarter-finalists �50 each.
This week’s results were G Lee lost to S Crosby 5-3, S Bullock beat M Lodge 5-1, M Barber and T Burrell went through on byes. In the semis, T Burrell beat M Barber 5-3 and S Bullock beat S Crosby 5-4.
The next round is on Sunday at Merlins, players to register by 3.45pm, play starts at 4pm. Entry fee is �10 per player.
Remaining qualifying dates (all Sundays): January 16, 23, 30; February 6, 13, 20, 27; March 6, 13, followed by the grand final on March 20.
