AGAINST high-flying Harwich this league match was always going to be a tough one, made more challenging by a number of forced changes in the side.
Broadland did not have the greatest start and the situation worsened as fly-half James Doggett was forced to leave the field through injury in the first few minutes.
The Yarmouth side could not settle and Harwich took advantage with an early score. Broadland's tackling was solid, but Harwich utilised support play well to increase their lead.
Broadland did show some good passages of play but were unable to make a clean break at the gain line.
Harwich added a penalty before the half, leaving the Great Yarmouth side trailing by 17.

Broadland made one change with Royce Chiddle joining the second row, and they initially looked as if they were building for a score, but this was well countered by Harwich who went over for a try.
Ryan Gallie provided some fresh legs in the pack and Broadland continued with some good tackling.
Harwich added another score to put the game well beyond the visitors, but Broadland did provide a final all-out attack on the last play of the game. Centre Mark White made a half break from midfield, an offload to Sam Noon, providing him with some space to get the ball down inside the Harwich 22.
Adam Towfighi and Sam French secured a quick ruck allowing scrum-half Simon Ruddick to spin the ball out to Ed Dixon. He cut between two defenders and scored under the posts, which he converted himself. A fitting finish for Dixon, playing in his last match of the season before departing to spend a year in Australia.
