Beautiful, calm conditions paved the way for some great performances in this week’s Gorleston Cliffs parkrun, with a near-record 372 people taking part.

With it being part of the summer bank holiday weekend there were lots of visiting runners, 60 first-timers in total including people from as far afield as New Zealand.

Fifty-six of the participants were rewarded with a personal best time. Amongst was regular Davina Balls who managed an excellent time of 27.55 on her 128th run.

Nick Roper led the participants home in a time of 17.22 (personal best), followed by Tyler Bilyard in 18.05 and Marc Evans in 18.09. For the ladies it was visiting Sharon Hurren, of Wymondham AC, finishing first in 20.52. Course record holder Colleen Mukuya started further back pushing her daughter in her buggy and almost caught the leading lady but finished just behind in 20.58. Penny Studley was third in 21.40.
