Dean Broom, of Bradwell, smashed his carp weight record in the early hours of Saturday morning in a phenomenal 24 hours on Taswood lakes.
First he pulled in a 22lb 7oz ghost carp at around 12.30am, this was soon followed up by the big one, a common carp (pictured) weighing in at 34lb 11oz. To this impressive catch he added three more carp, two commons and a mirror, weighing 25lb 11oz, 25lb 2oz and the mirror that went 15lb 2oz.
This was all in 24 hours of fishing.
