Max Jermy from Martham was selected at last week's AMA Squad training in Bury, Lancashire to join the AMA National karate team.

Max, 12, has been training for several years and last November gained his black belt.

Max, 12, has been training for several years and last November gained his black belt.

This is the next stage in his martial arts career and he will be fighting in individual and team events at the AMA International Championships in Sheffield this weekend.

There was a “well done Max” from everyone at Phoenix Karate.
