MARTIAL ARTS: After over four years of hard training, world junior full-contact champions Cameron McGarrigle (15) and Jade Munro (14) and south east area Thaiboxing champion Conor Judge (15) achieved their hard-earned black belts in kickboxing.

The Great Yarmouth trio were tested for three hours on their sparring technique, footwork, combination skills, boxing skills, fitness and stamina by three different coaches. They have also had to coach and corner younger fighters and be assessed on that over the last 12 months.

Along with a combined number of around 70 fights between them, 30 full-contact and 40 light-contact, they have proved themselves outstanding fighters and very competent junior coaches.

Cameron was also the first-ever junior kickboxer from the region to win a world full-contact kickboxing title (in Spain in 2009), and Jade has also broken many records.

She was the first schoolgirl from East Anglia to win a Muay Thai British title and a junior world full-contact title, and also the first female from Norfolk to win a national boxing title.

Cameron is sponsored by Sun Housing and Jade by Caesars Bars and Norfolk County Council Sports Aid.

All three train at 3 Lions Gym, Estcourt Road.
