Horsford United 1 Caister 0

Caister began the match slowly, and were lucky to get through the early stages without conceding. As the half went on Caister settled and created a couple of decent chances, Hack and Crawley with the best of them, both thwarted by the Horsford keeper.

The beginning of the second half was the same as the first with Horsford the quicker out of the blocks, and after 50 minutes they took the lead when a forward volleyed home from close range.

Caister then played their best football of the game, getting the ball wide to Fitzgerald and Ward who made some decent runs and balls into the box.

Horsford defended well, blocking a volley from Hack and their keeper saved well from Barrett and Carter. With two minutes remaining a Blake header at the back post went inches wide and Horsford saw out a 1-0 victory. It was a decent Anglian Combination Division One game, with good effort shown by both sides. MoM: Mark Blake, who led from the front yet again.
