Ricci Butler has added to his ranks at Great Yarmouth Town with the signing of two new players.
Luke Goreham has joined from Gorleston, while Tom Norman has left Great Yarmouth League side Grange FC for life at the Wellesley.
Goreham is a quality central midfielder – and a player the Bloaters have been interested in before, with manager Butler knowing the player well from their days together at Acle.
“I am over the moon that Luke has signed,” said Butler. “He will bring a wealth of quality and experience to the side and I am hoping that Tom will seize this opportunity to play at a higher level and realise his potential.”
Both made their debuts, Norman as a sub, as the Bloaters beat Boston Town 1-0 in the FA Vase last weekend, earning themselves a trip to Waltham Forest in the first round proper.
Yarmouth are back in Thurlow Nunn First Division action when they entertain March Town United.
In the Premier Division, Gorleston will be hoping to build on last weekend’s victory over previously unbeaten leaders Hadleigh when they visit Thetford in the league. The Greens are fourth, one of three teams just a point behind Hadleigh, who are at home to Kirkley & Pakefield.
Gorleston were handed a trip to Holbeach Utd in the FA Vase first round, which will be played on November 1.
The Greens have had a bye to this round and it should be a cracking tie with Holbeach currently second in the UCL Premier League.
Meanwhile the Reserves have been handed a trip to either UEA or Norton Athletic in the Junior Cup third round. The two sides meet tomorrow, with the third round tie then taking place on October 25.

Alicat is a subsidiary of Richards Dry Dock and Engineering Ltd and is based at the old dry dock on Southtown Road. Alicat was formed in 2009 initially to build aluminium catamarans to transfer crew and equipment to offshore windfarms. Since then Alicat has built 23 workboats but also designs and builds craft for other purposes.
Over the last five years the company has invested heavily in the site including a £1.6m development of the old dry dock into a state of the art wet dock with 200-tonne vessel lift and all associated services such as fabrication, electrics, precision engineering, hydraulics and diesel engineering are all provided onsite through independent Alicat sub-divisions.
In 2013, Alicat won the Business of the Year Award at the GY Spirit of Enterprise awards.
In March 2014 Alicat was awarded £165K funding by the Coastal Community Fund to build an all-weather repair facility on the site, which will be operational in 2015.
The company employs more than 100 people locally and offers apprenticeship schemes.
