IT was a blank weekend for the Bloaters with both the first and reserve teams not having a fixture last weekend. Wednesday saw the Bloaters travel down the A12 to Woodbridge Town for their fourth successive away game to earn a 2-2 draw for their first Ridgeons League Premier Division points of the season.

Tomorrow the first team are again without a game, but on Tuesday will have their first home league fixture of the season when they entertain high-flying Dereham Town, kick off 7.45pm. Honours were even last season when the Magpies comprehensively defeated the Bloaters at the Wellesley 4-0, but the Bloaters gained their revenge at Aldiss Park with a shock 2-1 victory courtesy of goals from Dominic Smith and a Scott Woodcock penalty. The reserves kick off their league campaign tomorrow when they host Debenham LC Reserves at the Wellesley (3pm). Last season saw the Bloaters gain four points from their opponents from a 2-2 home draw and a 2-0 away win.

Yarmouth U18 side started their season on Wednesday when they travelled to Dereham Town and were beaten 4-2 Next week they entertain Swaffham Town in the Preliminary round of the FA Youth Cup. Kick-off is 7:45pm.
