Bloaters visit draw specialists

SAFFRON Walden, who Great Yarmouth Town visit tomorrow, are the draw specialists of the Ridgeons First Division with six from their opening 12 games. SAFFRON Walden, who Great Yarmouth Town visit tomorrow, are the draw specialists of the Ridgeons First Division with six from their opening 12 games. Surprisingly - and ominously - they have not yet won at home in the league, losing to Cornard and Debenham and drawing with Thetford, Newmarket and Diss.

Since the Bloaters and the Bloods renewed acquaintance in Division One, Yarmouth have lost all three times at Catons Lane and only registered their first win in last season's final game to scupper Walden's promotion hopes, writes Gerry Brown.

The Bloaters will need to display their own promotion credentials very strongly tomorrow if they are going to reverse recent history.

The team bus will be leaving the clubhouse at 11am prompt, and any supporters are welcome.

After a week off, the Reserves return to action with a home game against Oulton Broad and Notleys in Anglian Combination Division Two (2pm).

Yarmouth are third and Broad eighth. Yarmouth lost their second game of the season at Broad, 3-1.
