Bohemians FC's Festival of Football took place at the New Road Sports field in Belton on a scorching Sunday.

Despite the heat, there were loads of goals scored, with only three knock-out stage games going to penalties.

This year’s winners were Higham Park Pumas at U11, Gorleston Rangers White Hawks at U12, Bohemians Galaxy Yellows at U13, Shrublands Blacks at U16 and Gorleston FC Ladies.

The club are grateful to thank Rossi’s Ices, Crib’s & Bibs and Darrel of East Point Sports for supporting the event. They sent a £107 donation to the East Anglian Air ambulance, being half the car park fees collected this year. Thanks are also due to all the drivers who helped contribute to this total and to thevolunteers who helped throughout the day.

Bohemians are looking for additional players currently in School Years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8 to boost theur existing and new teams ready for next season and the Saturday soccer will continue to run through the summer.

The sessions start from 10am, run for about an hour and a half and are open to anyone over six years of age not already associated with a football club. Please contact secretary Alan on 07787 911403 or visit our Soccer School held at New Road on Saturday mornings.

The aim is to gradually introduce new participants into organised league football through the coaching sessions and help set up new teams for next season from U7 to U10.

Bohemians also have a few spaces available for adult players for theur Sunday teams, both ladies’ and men’s, so do not hesitate to get in touch if you are at all interested in being involved, either as players, managers, administrators, referees or coaches.

Bohemians Jaguars FC Under 14s are looking for two or three new players to add to their squad for the new season. The boys finished fifth in the NSYL Division Four last season, and will be playing in either Division Three or Four this season.

The club would welcome any boys or girls who will be in School Years 8 or 9 from September who are looking for a friendly environment in which to play their football.

Contact the coach James Fellgett on 07895 107278 for more information or just turn up at one of the club’s training training sessions.
