Halvergate returned to winning ways and claimed maximum points at home to Blundeston and Somerleyton in the Norfolk League on Saturday.

Blundeston decided to bat first and lost their first wicket in the fifth over to the bowling of Adam Pitchers.

Keeler, Daplyn and Cooper moved the score to 31 for three in the 12th over before a run of quick wickets for veteran bowlers Jason Brister and Graham Harrop reduced the visitors to 48 for eight in the 27th over.

McEwen (13) and Baldwin (nine) provided some late runs but the innings closed in the 35th over with the score on 71 for eight.

Adam Pitchers took one for seven, Simon Burns 0 for 13, Graham Harrop three for 16, Jason Brister four for 15, Jack Cooley one for 12 and Michael Handley 0 for one. There was a catch each for Jason Brister and Aaron Sanders and a run out for Michael Handley.

After an excellent tea Halvergate lost James Howley in the first over lbw to Ramsdale for a duck. Perry Kelf (35 not out) and Sam Utting (32 not out) then moved the ball around the ground to pick up runs and Halvergate reached the target of 72 in the 15th over.

Thanks go to all who made the game possible, particularly those that turned up to ensure Halvergate fielded a full side.
